Bangladesh has a terrific opportunity to remain a force in global trade as the garment industry is on the rise with high global demand for the locally made apparel items, said Jens Helmersson, one of the founders of Swedish research firm Quizrr.

"We look forward to continuing our collaborations with organisations, but we see that governments also need to increase their efforts in driving this topic not to see business moving to other more sustainable countries," he also said.

The Covid-19 crisis has put further emphasis on the importance of digital tools and ability to reach workers without physically visiting them, the company quoted Helmersson as saying in a statement today.

The Quizrr develops innovative digital training solutions for workers to learn about occupational health safety, basic rights and responsibilities, wage management in a fun and engaging way.

It is based on short live action films or animations, followed by quiz questions. The films cover real life situations in factories, in local language and setting.

The Quizrr has been imparting training to the garment employees of factories from which 70 brands like H&M, Bestseller and Primark source garment items.

Managers and workers get a better understanding of their rights as well as responsibilities, which in turn leads to better communication and a sense of belonging in the workplace, the statement also said.

"To ensure that our content is relevant and correct we partner with organizations, when we develop content, that are experts on the topic at hand, said Sofie Nordström, Quizrr's another founder.

"The key is to create inspiring and fun trainings while maintaining a respect both for the topic and the people that is being trained," the statement said.

Earlier in 2020, in the beginning of the pandemic, Quizrr decided to open their health and safety training, free of charge, and distributed it in social media and together with Better Work Bangladesh's covid response.

Over the last years Quizrr has developed partnerships with Better Work Bangladesh, International Labour Organisation, BSR HERproject Digital Wages, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) UK and ETI Norway for Social dialogue and Occupational health and safety focus and many more.

Currently, Quizrr has rolled out the smartphone app on occupational health and safety and Covid'19 awareness in Bangladesh jointly with ETI for community outreach.
