Bangladesh is set to sew the world's largest T-shirt to break the Guinness record and mark the centenary of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). The record is now held by India's Plastindia Foundation, which sewed the largest T-shirt. The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has been assigned the task using cotton fabric.
BGMEA president Rubana Huq said the association started the process after receiving the proposal from ILO, according to Bangla media reports.
The Plastindia Foundation at Mumbai sewed the largest T-shirt measuring 96.86 m long and 69.77 m wide on January 5 last year. (DS)
