Bangladesh-India trade agreement is very important, says Suresh Prabhu
Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu today said the trade agreement between Bangladesh and India is very important for both the countries.
"Our future is depending on the global trade," he said while addressing a civic gathering as the chief guest at Bangla Bazar Fatema Khanam College Auditorium in Bangladesh here organised by the Bhola Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina are trying to help each other in developing the two countries.
The Indian minister said, "Bangabandhu had extraordinary capability and he signed the India-Bangladesh friendship treaty with Indira Gandhi."
Speaking on the occasion, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said that both Prime Minister of Bangladesh and India are working together for the betterment of the people.
Captain(retd) A B Tajul Islam, MP, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Deputy Commissioner of the district Masud Alam Siddique, Mrs Uma Prabu, Joint Secretary of Indian Civil Service Shefali Junigha and Square Group Managing Director Tapan Chowdhury, Basundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan and Islam Group Chairman Monjurul Islam were also present at the event.
