Bangladesh’s RMG sector concerned as Europe cases rise

There’s concern in Bangladesh as countries within Europe register increases in the number of daily COVID-19 cases, which threaten the southeast Asian nation’s resurgence.
Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) sector is typically accountable for up to 80 % of national exports each year, and following the worst of the pandemic’s impact subsided was spurred by a record-breaking month of apparel exports in July.
Now though, as famous brands Germany, Spain and the UK see COVID-19 cases on the climb, Bangladesh fears that it could encounter further set-backs that could cost garment worker jobs.
