BSTI revoked and suspendedthe license of 29 products

Quality regulatory agency, Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institution (BSTI)has revoked and suspended the license of 29 products for finding low quality in the sample examination.License of 18 of these products has been revoked and 11 of them has been suspended.
The information was released in a BSTI notice on Tuesday. According to BSTI, 26 of 43 products, the license of which was suspended in the first step, has been withdrawn and the license of 16 products has been revoked.
The license of 2 products has been revoked and 11 products has been suspended in the second step. The license of Three Star brand turmeric powder of Three Star flour mill and Khushbu brand ghee of Agro Organic has been revoked. Suspended products are- Pran premium brand ghee of Pran Dairy, Radhuni brand coriander andcumin powder of Square Food and Beverage, Coulson lachcha vermicelli of Hashem Foods, A-7 brand ghee of Jamuna Chemical, Green Mountain butter oil of Queen Cow Food, Muskansalt of S A Salt, Confidence salt of Confidence Salt, Madinalachcha vermicelli of J K Food, Camel brand salt of BismillahSalt and Nazrulsalt of JanataSalt.
The license of 16 products has been revoked which was suspended in the first step. The products are:MistiMelalachcha vermicelli, Duncans mineral water, Pustimustard oil, Noor special salt, Dada super salt, Tin Teersalt, Madina and Starship salt of Lucky salt, Tajsalt, Mollasalt, Pran turmeric powder, Pranlachcha vermicelli, Jeddah lachcha vermicelli, Danish curry powder, Danish turmeric powder, Sun chips and Amritolachcha vermicelli.
It has been ordered to refrain from selling and distributing of theserevoked license productsuntil acquiring a new license by improving quality. The sale and distribution of suspended products has been prohibited without the re-approval, acquired by improving quality.
Meanwhile, license suspension of 26 products has been withdrawn which were suspended in the first step. These products are- water of Dighee drinking water Dighee, ARRA water of ARRA Food, ACI pure salt and ACI pure coriander powder of ACI Salt, Madhumatisalt of MadhumatiSalt, Doodles noodles of New Zealand Dairy, Prancurry powder of Pran Agro, Teermustard oil of City Oil, GB mustard oil of Green Vegetable Oil, Fresh turmeric powder of Tanvir Food, Baghabarispecial ghee, Madhubanlachcha vermicelli, Well Food lachcha vermicelli, Mithailachcha vermicelli of Mithai Foods, Modhufullachcha vermicelli, Mehedibiscuit of Imtiaj Bread, Nishitasemolina of Nishita Foods, Manjil turmeric powder, Dolphin chili powder of Quasem Traders, Surjo brand chili powder of Amirul Traders, King flour of K R Food, Green Lands honey, Rupsa fermented milk, Shaan turmeric powder and Makkachanachur.
Products, which suspension of license was withdrawn were ordered to market the products maintaining the equivalent level of Bangladesh standard.
