British band Coldplay are preparing for two special performances in Jordan this weekend. The four-piece are already in Amman preparing for their sunrise and sunset performances in the city, to support the release of album Everyday Life on Friday, November 22.

On the band's Instagram, they can be seen getting ready with Amman's Old Town in the background.

The band has teamed up with YouTube to perform two shows in the capital, Amman, on Friday, November 22. Fans can stream the duo of performances at 4am (GMT), 6am (Jordan) and 8am (UAE) and 2pm (GMT), 4pm (Jordan), 6pm (UAE). You'll be able to find the performances here.

It seems they have not only been rehearsing, the band's bassist Guy Berryman has been documenting his time wandering around the souks and Old Town, saying, "Loved strolling around this morning."

Berryman posted a second collection of images while out and about, saying, "Everyday Life, Amman, Jordan⁣."

There is a clear regional influence on Everyday Life. The album cover has a second title, the Arabic translation, Al Hayah Al Yawmeya.

The track list also features songs referencing the region, such as Arabesque and Bani Adam. The latter is also presented in the album cover in Arabic script and it translates to ‘the children of Adam'. It can also be used as a rallying cry, similar to yalla. In this context it translates to something like 'let's go, man'.

Frontman Chris Martin has often spoken about an interest in spirituality, and particularly in Sufism.

"I was very lucky to meet a very good sufi teacher who started to introduce the idea of 'if you sit with your experiences and the things you've been through, they alchemise,'" Martin told Zane Lowe in 2014.

"At the time he said that, I didn't really know what that meant, but I trusted that it would work, and the more that I was learning about that, the more music just started flowing through."
