Dhaka, Beijing trade connectivity to come to be enhanced: Envoy

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming has said both Bangladeshi exporters and Chinese consumers will be benefited amid zero tariff entry of Bangladeshi products to the Chinese market. 

"It'll certainly render Bangladeshi goods more competitive in a market of 1 1.4 billion people, benefit equally Bangladeshi exporters and Chinese consumers alike, and boost our trade connectivity," he said on Wednesday. 

China just offered zero tariff treatment to 97% of Bangladesh’s export by adding 5161 more what to the existing set of 3095 duty-free items, effective from July 1. 

The Chinese Ambassador said This is a result of very good policy coordination, and an initiative well supported by our infrastructure connectivity. 

Bangladesh described it again as successful of its monetary diplomacy. 

"We are happy to inform that as part of our  monetary diplomacy and the consequent outcome of exchange of letters between Bangladesh and China, Tariff Commission of the Talk about Council of Ministry of Financing of the People’s Republic of China released a find on granting zero treatment to 97 percent of tariff products of Bangladesh," said the official at the Ministry of International Affairs. 

Ambassador Jiming said the financial connectivity between Bangladesh and China is steadily enhancing with their partnerships found in organizations including the Asia Infrastructure Expense Bank and the Dhaka Stock Exchange. 

For people-to-people connectivity, Ambassador  Jiming in his new article said China and Bangladesh have always shared a brotherly connection inherited from friendly traditions, which gets even deeper through joint fight the normal enemy of the coronavirus.

As the situation improves and travel restriction eases, the Ambassador said, they are bound to witness a rebound and additional growth in people-to-persons exchanges at all social amounts.

As the second most significant overall economy in South Asia and with a captivating young population, he explained, Bangladesh has unparalleled development probable in the region. 

"And as a good friend, a strategic cooperation partner and the same member of the spot, China will usually remain highly committed to working side by side with Bangladesh in BRI assignments and all the areas for the betterment of our persons," explained the Chinese Ambassador. 

Being truly a peace-loving nation as ancient circumstances, he said China provides always envisioned a world where everyone “seeks harmony without uniformity”, designed for “peace is normally of paramount importance”. 

Mutually through the Belt and Street, Ambassador Jiming said, they will build a community with a shared future where most could thrive found in peace.
