Export-import with China not hampered up to now: Minister

Commerce minister Tipu Munshi has said there is no problem correct now when it comes to export-import activities between Bangladesh and China, including the import of raw materials for RMG sector, but the government will take necessary steps just after assessing the possible impacts of coronavirus, information UNB.
He, on the other hand, said they need to take into account the situation if the problem (coronavirus) prolongs.
Tipu Munshi said the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Sector (FBCCI) will place a written report on trade relations between Bangladesh and China next three months.
The government will need the next step predicated on the are accountable to be submitted by the apex trade body - FBCCI, in line with the commerce ministry.
Terming China a major trade partner of Bangladesh, the commerce minister stated Dhaka is carefully monitoring the situation following coronavirus outbreak.
On the other hand, the commerce ministry had a gathering with those related to export and import actions. BGMEA and BKMEA happen to be also attempting to assess the situation.
The commerce ministry said things will be clear next few times as the federal government remains alert.
