Korean tech giant Samsung has recently added to its African support page a product that has us quite excited. Named the ‘SM-F700F’ previous reports confirm that this is indicative of the anticipated successor to the Galaxy Fold. The appearance of the device on the smartphone maker’s support page so soon hints that the tech giant might be mulling on a release sooner than was previously anticipated.
We had previously written on a Galaxy Fold being in the works in July this year however subsequent reports since then have revealed different screen-sizes speculations, colours as well as camera details for the product. The Galaxy Fold 2, as is the popularly assumed name for this device, could have either a 6.1-inches or an 8.1 inches screen. Folding horizontally in a clamshell design, the device is also rumoured to be available in colours white, purple and black. There are also talks of an additional fourth colour along with those three colours. On the screen, there are talks that it would sport a punch hole for the selfie camera.
While this is all unconfirmed at this point, a report by news portal Sam mobile had also said that it would also wield comparatively lower internal storage than the fold. We’d only have to wait and see for further leaks to get a more thorough picture of what the next foldable phone from Samsung could look like.
