Golam Dastagir Gazi new Bangladesh textiles & jute min
Golam Dastagir Gazi has taken charge as the new textiles and jute minister of Bangladesh. Dastagir, who is also the president of Bangladesh-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the vice-chairman of Gazi Group, aims to develop and work towards the expansion of the textiles and jute industries with his involvement and experience in the industrial sector.
“I’ll do what is needed for the country and the people. We need active collaboration, cooperation and partnership from all. We need active initiatives. We need cooperation from friendly countries, too," said Dastagir while talking to reporters after joining office.
Gazi started his manufacturing industries in plastic and rubber sector in 1974 keeping in view the country’s demands and needs of the people. Since then he has been rendering untiring efforts for the overall development and expansion of these sectors. (RR)
