Gurus from Qatar, Bangladesh explore prospects in FinTech

Officials and experts discussed from Qatar and Bangladesh explored oppourtunities in the field of FinTech sector in a good webinar organised recently. Bangladesh Forum Qatar (BFQ), arranged a webinar on ‘An Exploration of the Qatar - Bangladesh Startup and FinTech Possibilities’ in cooperation with Embassy of Bangladesh in Qatar, Qatar Financial Center, Qatar Development Lender and Qatar FinTech Hub. 

The function was inaugurated by Bangladesh Ambassador to Qatar Md. Jashim Uddin; CEO of QFC, Yousuf Mohamed Al Jaida; Mashfee Binte Shams - Secretary (West) Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Bangladesh; Hamad Dashin Al Qahtani - Standard Manager - QBIC, Qatar Expansion Bank (QDB) co-moderated by Jaafar Ali Al Sarraf, MD & CEO of Gulf Exchange. Mohammed Shafiqul Islam, President, Bangladesh Forum Qatar and Henk Jan Hogendroon, Controlling Director, QFC co-moderated the panel debate. 

Mashfee Binte Shams focused on providing total support for just about any interested investor from Qatar found in Bangladesh.

Md. Jashim Uddin renewed dedication of Bangladesh Embassy to aid all BFQ initiatives. He emphasised to boost further economic romance between two brotherly countries Qatar and Bangladesh and motivated Qatari expense on unique tips from Bangladesh.

Hamad Dashin Al Qahthani, mentioned Qatar’s interest to push forwards the SME eco program and FinTech sector as the powerful entrepreneurs and SME are the backbone of the thriving diversified economy. 

He explained promoting the technologies is in the heart of QDB’s objective and encouraged the startups from Bangladesh to get connected through different QDB’s incubation method.

Munera Fahad Al Dosari, Chief Approach Officer, noted the demand of talent required in Qatar where Bangladeshi talent may serve to a great extent. Mohammed Al Emadi, Brain of Angel Expenditure, QDB promised to improve the support to the brand new startups from Bangladesh who through unique incubation courses which are currently set up from QDB.

Shihab Ahmed, Chief Professional Officer, Robi Axiata Bangladesh highlighted the startup echo system in Bangladesh and explained the It again infrastructure of Bangladesh. He discussed the largest global freelancer community on earth from Bangladesh regarding cost efficiency.
