HIV team supported Niger TB team under the Global Fund
A team from HIV/AIDS program of Save the Children in Bangladesh visited Niger in Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) for ‘Improving tuberculosis control and strengthen health systems in Niger’ under the Global Fund grant. Team members were ABM Sayem, Acting Manager – M&E and Reporting, Zillur Rahman, Manager – PSM, Sidul Kanti Dey, Deputy Manger – Awards from HIV/AIDS Program. Team members were in Niger between the dates 31/12/17 and 16/01/18 to provide ‘Technical Assistance’ to the Global Fund team of Save the Children Niger.
The team reviewed the monitoring and evaluation, supply management function and award management as per the Global Fund guidelines. As part of the assignment, the team attended consultative meetings with different government and non-government agencies including Directorate of Statistics and Directorate of Study and Planning (MSP/DEP), National TB Program (PNLT), Plan International and ONEN (a local NGO based in Niger).
The team identified area of improvements and provided necessary training and guidance.
