Int’l Women SME Expo kicks off on Sunday

The month-long 12th International Women SME Expo Bangladesh would start from Sunday November 4 at the port city’s polo ground field premises.
Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry vice president and fair committee chairperson Munal Mahbub made the announcement at a press conference on Thursday.
Prime minister’s international relations adviser Gowher Rizvi is would inaugurate the expo while Chattogram City Corporation mayor A J M Nasir Uddin is slated to attend the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
Women entrepreneurs from Iran, Indonesia, Thailand, Pakistan, India and China will exhibit their products at some 300 stalls and 10 pavilions on the venue.
Members of parliament M A Latif and Sabiha Nahar Musa, United Arab Emirates ambassador to Bangladesh Saeed Mohammed Al-Muhairi, Chattogram Development Authority chairman Abdus Salam, Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Mahbubul Alam and SME Foundation chairman KM Habib Ullah will also attend the inauguration, said CWCCI president Monowara Hakim Ali at a press conference held at Hotel Agrabad on Thursday. 
CWCCI vice presidents Jesmin Akter, Ruhi Mostafa, directors Rokeya Nasrin, Sultana Nurjahan, Kazi Tuhina, Rozina Akter, Ivy Hasan and former councilor Rekha Alam Chowdhury were also present at the press conference.
