Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Shampoo Fails Indian Quality Test
According
to the quality test examined by the northwestern Rajasthan State, Johnson &
Johnson’s baby shampoo samples were not up to the mark when it came to quality.
Through some public notices, it was also found that the products were rejected
goods from the US Drug Maker. On the other hand, in the month of February, a test on J&J’s baby powder was
also made in order to find out if there was any asbestos for cancer, no
asbestos wasfound.
2 of the
consecutive batches of J&J’s baby shampoo had failed the quality test because of possessing ingredients,
which are harmful to health. The harmful
ingredient it possessed was not revealed or discussed. The spokeswoman of
Johnson and Johnson had stated that they don’t accept the interim results,
which were given to them. She openly said it to Reuters.
Later on
she added “We always maintain our products unequivocally and assure safety with
it and our process is one of the most rigorous in the world among all the
companies of our type” The two batches mentioned before were tested later and
it was due to expire after two more years in the fall of the year. The
spokeswoman revealed that they had informed the authority of India that they
never added formaldehyde to the shampoos or other cosmetics.
India’s
federal regulators and the counterparts had found asbestos of cancer in J&J Products after
a long time and they have openly stated about the investigation. However,
J&J has still denied it and stated that the information was one-sided and
false.
Bizbangladesh.com dictates that as J&J is currently one of the leading companies of the world in case of cosmetics and their baby products are extremely reputable for the quality, it is mandatory for J&J to officially reveal the truth. If there are harmful ingredients or not and if there is, they must take steps to cure it.
