JS body discusses EPZ Labour Bill
Parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs in its 32nd meeting yesterday has discussed thoroughly Bangladesh EPZ Labour Bill, 2016, reports BSS.
Chaired by Suranjit Sengupta, the meeting was held at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Dhaban.
Shamsul Haque Tuku, Abdul Mazid Khan, Talukder Md Eunus, Adv Jiaul Haque Mridha and Sofura Begum attended the meeting, among others.
Officials from US Embassy including its CDA, deputy political counselor, political specialist, representatives from ILO and officials from Canadian Embassy were also present at the meeting on special invitation.
The committee recommended scrutinizing Bangladesh EPZ Labour Bill, 2016, correction and addition to the bill based on the opinions of the guests and submit it again on the next meeting.
Law and Justice Division secretary, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division secretary, director general of Prime Minister's Office, executive chairman and general manager of BEPZA, were present at the meeting, among others.
