Waldorf Astoria has opened the doors to its latest property in Dubai.

Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is the luxury hotel brand’s third venture in the UAE – joining Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah and Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah.

The new hotel is located on the 18th to 55th floors of the Burj Daman commercial and residential complex, and offers 275 rooms, including 46 suites and 28 residential units. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer unobstructed views of the Downtown Dubai skyline, and The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains are just minutes away.

The design embraces a sleek 1960s aesthetic, with marble, ebony, brass and bronze accents. The 18th floor is the heart of the hotel – it is here that guests come to check in and where they will find the hotel’s wellness facilities and dining venues. The Wadorf Astoria Spa is fitted with a floatation tank, hydrobath, hammam, Vichy shower, four treatment suites and a fitness centre.

Bull & Bear is the property’s signature eatery and is inspired by the original Bull & Bear in the Waldorf Astoria New York, which opened in 1931 and became a favourite gathering spot for Manhattan’s financial and Wall Street elite.

Meanwhile, St Trop, a stylish rooftop lounge with a pool, whirlpool and timber decking, will aim to offer up a slice of the French Riviera in the heart of Dubai’s financial district. Peacock Alley, a lounge and bar, takes its name from the phrase used to describe the daily promenade of people passing through the colonnade that connected the original Waldorf and Astoria hotels in New York City.

“We are delighted to expand our luxury presence in the region with the opening of Waldorf Astoria DIFC, which is located in an important economic hub within the region,” said Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Middle East, Africa & Turkey, Hilton.

“Earlier this year, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the launch of DIFC 2.0 which will add 13 million square feet of space to the centre. We are pleased to be part of this rapidly growing district and look forward to delivering unparalleled experiences to guests staying in DIFC.”

To celebrate the hotel’s opening, Hilton Honors members will earn an additional 5,000 points per night, with a minimum stay of three nights, for bookings through to 30 December, made directly with Hilton.
