An Ohio-based industrial machinery and equipment firm has snapped up a big block of distribution space in South Fort Worth.
HGR Industrial Surplus, a Cleveland-area firm that trades in used and surplus industrial products, is taking almost 185,000 square feet of industrial space in the Junction 20/35 business park near Interstates 20 and 35W.
The shipping space was leased from California-based investor CIM Group.
“HGR is excited to expand into Fort Worth,” HGR Industrial’s Brian Krueger said in a statement. “With the new warehouse, HGR will reduce transportation time and cost for southern customers and increase storage space for inventory.”
The company currently operates out of its main location in suburban Cleveland building that was originally built in 1943 to produce aircraft parts during World War II. HGR Industrial also has an operation in Birmingham.
The new warehouse lease will occupy all of the vacant space in the Junction 20/35 business park, according to owner CIM Group.
The 1.1 million-square-foot industrial property was built in 1989 and renovated in 2021. CIM Group bought the property in early 2020.
Stream Realty Partners leased the property.
“Junction 20/35 is a large, well-designed facility located in one of the country’s leading industrial submarkets with an expanding neighborhood and a strong workforce, attributes that are in demand by businesses such as HGR,” said Shaul Kuba, co-founder and principal at CIM Group.
