Rohas Tecnic bags power line jobs worthwhile RM192m in Bangladesh

Infrastructure engineering company Rohas Tecnic Bhd features bagged two contracts worth a combined RM192 million to set up transmission lines found in Bangladesh.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Rohas Tecnic said the contracts were awarded to its subsidiary HG Vitality Transmission Sdn Bhd (HGPT) by Electricity Grid Co of Bangladesh Ltd.
The first contract, worth RM126 million, is for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 230 kilovolt (kV) and 132kV transmission lines on a turnkey basis. The agreement duration is 30 a few months.
The next contract, worth RM66 million, entails the design, source, installation, testing and commissioning of another 132kV transmission lines, also on a turnkey basis. The deal duration is 24 months.
“Both contracts are funded by German state-owned development lender KfW Entwicklungsbank and were secured in available worldwide tenders, showcasing HGPT’s amazing track record and rising reputation in your community.
“The contracts will have a positive effect on the group’s results for the entire year ending Dec 31, 2020 and in the foreseeable future,” said Rohas Tecnic.
Both contracts are planned to start in the next half of the year.
