Sauder introduces commercial business furniture segment

RTA manufacturer Sauder has introduced a fresh division called Sauder Commercial Business office that aims to supply commercial grade business furniture for both commercial and residential conditions.

The company said that its new trademarked Sauder Commercial Office segment includes several new lines that were created and tested to meet commercial office standards. The business said the line also offers an upgrade in configurability and toughness over standard home office products.

It features three product lines that are the trademarked Office Gets results and Worksense, as well as Commercial Extensions, all of which offer products designed to “meet the diverse wants of today’s consumer and organization customer.”

The company said it's been introducing various commercial grade specs into its residential office line for quite some time to handle shifting work habits.

“Even prior to the pandemic dramatically shifted do the job patterns and environments, we saw an evergrowing trend toward remote work, satellite offices and shared workspaces,” said Mike Lambright, senior director of marketing at Sauder. “Therefore, our development into this arena has been around the works for quite some time, and we have been ‘quietly’ launching commercial grade product into our home furniture line since 2016.”

The business said that the line also meets or exceeds ANSI/BIFMA compliance for “safety, strength and structural integrity.”

“These products represent a performance upgrade to our standard residential offerings you need to include designs that take up well in work-at-residence environments,” Lambright added. “Completely assembled items and pre-assembled parts like drawers and desk pedestals offer a degree of convenience and simple installation, aswell.”

Designed for tiny to mid-sized offices, Office Works features totally assembled pedestals that will be added to various combinations of table shells and hutches. The look aims to provide easy installation and efficiency for end users.

The original Affirm collection in a classic cherry finish has 10 pieces, including fully assembled file pedestals and lateral file units. Additionally, there are L-shaped desks, typical and executive tables with file pedestal storage, a bookshelf with storage and table/hutch combinations.

Features include full extension metal drawer slides, adjustable shelving, desktop grommets for cord management and adjustable base levelers to hold surfaces of different portions aligned at the equal height. Retail prices get started at $284.99 for a 42-inch desk come back. Two alternative finishes - light and dark elm - will be accessible by year end.

Worksense by Sauder presents extended configurability and pre-assembled components that try to provide easy planning and installation. Both pre-assembled and partially assembled pieces feature long lasting melamine surfaces and impact-resistant thermoplastic edge protection.

Two new collections in this segment include the 10-piece Mason Peak and the 10-part Palo Alto.

Mason Peak features farmhouse design components and comes in a natural prime oak finish with black rustic hardware. Starting at $304.99 for a library base cabinet, the collection contains an executive table, multiple credenza tables, the library base, a lateral file cabinet and more. The group can be configurable due the number of table and credenza alternatives and other add-on components. It also offers regular features such as for example adjustable shelves, full-extension metal drawer slides, key lock drawers and cord management grommets.

Palo Alto has Mid-Century Contemporary styling, including slatted molding details, and is available in a spiced mahogany finish. With prices starting at $339.99 for a library base cabinet, it offers a range of credenzas, computer tables, L-shaped tables, and storage options like the library bases and lateral files.

A pre-assembled lateral record and partially assembled table pedestals and drawers allow for quicker assembly and setup. Pieces also features desktop grommets for cord management, flexible shelving, full-extension drawer slides and locking drawer storage.

Commercial Extensions offer upgrades that serve as a complement to existing home office furniture collections in a number of styles, ranging from coastal and transitional to Mid-Century Contemporary and rustic, and add-ons to larger Worksense installations on matching styles.
