Scenic Eclipse II heads to Lisbon after departure from 3 Maj Shipyard in Croatia

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours new ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, left the 3.Maj Shipyard in Rijeka, Croatia on April 6. Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovic, and Sasa Cokljat, Managing Director MKM Yachts, as well as many special dignitaries joined Scenic Group Chairman and Founder, Glen Moroney, for her departure. The highly anticipated Discovery Yacht – a near-identical sister ship to Scenic Eclipse – will now make a journey of 2,163 nautical miles (4,005km) that winds around the Italian coast, across the Mediterranean Sea and through the Strait of Gibraltar before arriving in Lisbon, Portugal.
Scenic Eclipse II will embark on her debut sailing – an 11-day Iberian Discovery voyage from Lisbon to Barcelona – on April 13, 2023.
With the addition of Scenic Eclipse II, the ultra-luxury cruise operator will be able sail to more than 50 countries across all seven continents in 2023 and 2024.
An official naming ceremony will be held in Malaga, Spain on June 3, with Godmother Dr. Kathy Sullivan, doing the honors.
