Singapore: No more quarantine for fully vaxxed travellers from April 1
Singapore is all set to relax entry rules from April 1. As per the reports, all fully vaccinated passengers will, however, be required to undergo a pre-departure test and also meet prevailing visa requirements. These passengers will no longer be subjected to quarantine or undergo on-arrival testing. Also, reports have it that transit through Singapore Change will also restart from next month.
Referring to this, Singapore Airlines released a statement stating that fully vaccinated travellers on all SIA and Scoot flights will enjoy quarantine-free entry into Singapore, without any on-arrival test or quarantine requirements, from April 1, 2022. This move comes after the Singapore Government simplified the travel protocols for entry into the country
Currently, SIA and Scoot operate from 97 destinations in 34 countries to Singapore. With the latest update, the entire SIA and Scoot network will open to all eligible customers. As per the statement, SIA and Scoot will no longer designate specific Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) flights from April 1, 2022. The statement further added that existing customers who have already booked on a VTL flight on or after April 1, 2022, will be able to travel as planned. They will not be required to make any changes to their booking, the statement added.Reports added that travellers will now be allowed to transit through Singapore on almost all SIA and Scoot flights from 1 April 2022, as long as they meet the entry requirements of their final destination.
Do note, passengers will still not be able to transit through Singapore to a destination in Mainland China or Hong Kong SAR due to regulatory requirements.
