‘Study in India’ Expo begins in Dhaka

The two-day ‘STUDY IN INDIA’ Expo was inaugurated at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Dhaka on Friday.

The expo will also travel to port city Chittagong and Khulna districts. 

It will be held at Peninsula Hotel in Chittagong on Monday, 22 July and Tuesday, 23 July. 

In Khulna it will be held at Hotel City Inn on Thursday, 25th July.

‘STUDY IN INDIA’ meet, supported by the ‘High Commission of India’ and India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry is organized by AFAIRS Exhibitions & Media Pvt. Ltd, India, in association with A2Z Study, a premier education consultancy based in Dhaka.

Jishnu Prasanna Mukherjee, First Secretary (Education) High Commission of India, Dhaka inaugurated the event at 10am in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and guests from the education fraternity.

Inaugurating the Expo, Mukherjee, said, “India is a big brand all over the world. People come here from across the globe to get experience on many issues. Youth connection between Bangladesh and India should be made stronger. There are a lot of opportunities for Bangladeshi students to explore India in so many disciplines.” 

Over 40 leading universities, colleges and boarding schools from various parts of India, are participating in the Expo and providing easy and direct access to Bangladeshi students and parents. 

The aspiring students and parents can grab the opportunity to meet face-to-face with admission authorities and gather correct information on courses which are in demand. They can also collect information on eligibility, course fees, installment options, placement scope, etc.  

The participating boarding schools offer excellent infrastructural facilities, teaching faculties, outdoor activities and sports and provide admission from Standard III to XII with an option of exclusive girls and also co-ed schools. 

Some of the participating schools are Kasiga School (Dehradun), Birla International School (Rajasthan), MIT Pune's Vishwashanti Gurukul (Pune), Ecole Globale International Girls' School (Dehradun), Delhi Public School (Durgapur), Aditya Academy Secondary (Kolkata), Red Bridge International Academy (Bengaluru), Sanjay Ghodawat International School (Kolhapur), etc. 

The expo also offers spot registration of admissions for Engineering, Medical, Paramedical, Dental, Nursing, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, IT, MBA, BBA, Hotel Management, Journalism, Architecture and many more subjects as per the admission procedure of the respective colleges.
