Swiss Businesses Choose Bangladesh as a Preferable Destination
According to Swiss Business, with the enhanced energy supply, legal security, and stronger infrastructure, Bangladesh can become a “more preferred destination” for them. Reports say that Bangladesh has taken a few appreciable steps to bring foreign investment.
According to Raphael Nageli; the Assistant State Secretary for Asia-Pacific of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Ambassador, “Potential investors sometimes find it challenging to venture into Bangladeshi market in terms of ease of doing business,”. He had recently visited Bangladesh along with his delegation members and the visit gained them a valuable discussion to cure different issues government agencies are enduring.
Raphael Nageli mentioned that in order to improve the economic relation between Bangladesh and Switzerland, it is important for them to identify the areas of cooperating. The activities of Swiss Companies with Bangladesh are increasing dynamically and every day. However, according to him, the economic relationship between the two countries has been having a continuous swift growth from 2010.
Switzerland is strongly focusing on Research and Development and Creative Innovation, is a country and that can be an area Bangladesh and Switzerland can collaborate together in order to support each other’s business. “Switzerland and Bangladesh held an exchange authority to promote their economic and trading relation”, said Ambassador Nageli.
Raphael Nageli also included and emphasized a few areas where they can try economic co-operation and they are, clean tech, renewable energy, and many others. Both countries can help each other on these factors.
With the cooperation, Sustainable Development Goals can be attained slowly but gradually and it will also help to meet both of the country’s main priorities. Switzerland is going to try their best to enhance social capital development in Bangladesh and bring human rights including disadvantages women and men for helping them to participate equally in the activities of the country.
