Netflix is currently the most popular streaming sites of the world, however, a complaint of many people was the adjustment of audio and video together as due to internet speed issues many users endured the problem.

However, the new audio upgrade has been launched on 1st May, which increases the bitrate of the audio in order to match the internet speed users have. On the other hand, the bitrate is going to be based on the speed of your internet, it can also drop as low as 192 kbps in order to eradicate video/audio buffering.

When the internet is slow, you are going to be hearing the audio of lower quality, it will still prevent from video/audio buffering and on the other hand, it will also adjust the audio and video/audio synchronization. Overall, it is a great decision, because although the audio quality will shrink down, higher issues such as video/audio synchronization are prevented.

The maximum Netflix audio bitrate is of 640 kbps, however, it is also shrinking down comparing to the 24-bit/48 kHz mastering sample frequency. Choosing bitrate over kHz is a great decision made by Netflix as it keeps the audio’s master track lossless, which leads to a higher quality of audio. The bitrates are expected to be changed based on how efficient the encoders have become.

Netflix users are expected to have a great experience with the new audio update of Netflix as it is a fix of a major bug, which has been requested by many different users. Let’s find out in the upcoming days about the reviews and opinions of the users.
