TikTok; the trendy video sharing app has been accused of destroying the youth society of India and had also created a horrible concern of spreading pornographic material. Very recently, the government of India had ordered Apple and Google to take this video sharing app down as soon as possible.
Currently there are over 500 million users of Tiktok around the world, however, India’s population covering 120 million of the users draws a percentage of 24 percent! There was a fight in the high court in order to shut this application down or ban it on 3rd April, according to the reports of Guardian.
The owner of the company had refused the appeal and asked to suspend the order. The application is very popular among the teenagers of India and also Bangladesh. It allows the users to lip-sync and dance to their songs and music. It also draws challenges. Previously, the US also fined the Chinese company for illegal acts like collecting information of users.
The federal government has been asked by the Madras High Court of India to ban TikTok because of the reasons, which are making the youth generation vulnerable to sexual predators and on the other hand, encouraging pornography.
According to Bizbangladesh, as the Chinese company is promoting pornographic material, it is a must for the government to impose the ban, as it will be slowly but gradually ruining the youth society.
