Although Bangladesh is called the property of rivers, the present scenario depicts a morbid condition for waterbodies. Despite the initiatives of governments, civil societies and NGOs, rivers will be polluted on a large scale. In this backdrop, SED organised the webinar to facilitate a scholarly discussion.

For the time being, existing laws can also be useful in the same respect," explained Mohammad Golam Sarwar.
When it comes to any environmental issue, none can overlook the expertise and connection with Syeda Rizwana Hasan and such merit was truly evident in her speech. She discussed the crucial purpose of NGOs and civil contemporary society on environmental matters and how these twofold actions plan could actually make a difference. "We must seriously mobilise the communities; specifically we need to create consciousness among those that do not know their constitutional rights," stated Syeda Rizwana Hasan.
