There are different reasons behind going through new software installation and upgrades. Some of the crucial potential prompts that initiate the installation of new upgraded software are, company policy, new features, fixing of bugs, requirement of newly bought hardware and finally, existing system’s issues.
Having Issues with the System: Using a computer extensively or for a long time can slow down a computer and to gradually improve the speed of it, different new meritorious software must be installed. There is a high possibility for the installed software to face expiration, however, to have a better experience with the software you can upgrade the software which has been expired! Lastly, sometimes in the medium of the internet malware software are downloaded, it is not downloaded deliberately always but sometimes people fall in the trap of phishing. In addition, to be safe from that antivirus software must be installed and obviously kept up to the date, as an antivirus software is perfect for keeping you safe from the defective components which might harm your computer. Lastly, I would like to say that making a change like updating a software to its latest version might lead to some slightly negative collisions, one of them is losing previous data of that software and to be cautious of that you can create a backup of the file.
External reasons for upgrading or fixing software problems: Nowadays, it is quite common for software to have bugs like, hanging and sudden computer turn-offs. A huge solution to this problem is updating the software to its latest versions, which have the predominant motive of identifying and eradicating the bugs. Getting a new updated hardware is another thing to do to deal with these kind of bugs.
Requirement of the New Hardware: There is a reason device drivers are invented and the reason behind is this. When we install a new hardware in our computer we will definitely need to update our device drivers and if we don’t, we won’t be able to use the hardware. The Requirement of Different New Features: Exploring the new features is wanted by the most. Therefore, software is launched for a reason, whether it is for home use or for office, we need software and addition features. To get the additional features we will need to update the software most of the times as the software change a lot and come with different new features. However, when we don’t get the additional features by just updating the software we might need to go for new software!
The Policy of the Companies: All companies have policies, for example access and many others. A company must have admins or managers who would allow the selective ones to use a software. When different installations are needed, owners and the managers are the ones who would be going for the steps.
