10 PC Dividend Recommended by BGIC

For previous fiscal year’s ending The Board of Directors of Bangladesh General Insurance Company (BGIC) recommended a cash dividend of 10 percent. This news was disclosed on 17th April 2019, the last Wednesday by an official and reputable disclosure.
The scheduled Annual General Meeting, which is going to be held in Dhaka Ladies Club is expected to be the day of approval of this decision. Entitlement’s record date is scheduled to be in this year’s 9th May, according to the disclosure.
According to the company’s report, per-share earnings is of 1.04 Bangladeshi Taka with a net asset value of 19.63 Bangladeshi Taka. On the other hand, the net operating cash flow of each share is 1.31 Bangladeshi taka for the year ended 31 December 2018 as against 1.10 Bangladeshi Taka, 19.76 Bangladeshi Taka and 0.69 Bangladeshi taka respectively for the same period of time in 2017’s ending
No price limit is imposed for share trading because of the declarations, which had taken place. The previous year, the company has also paid a dividend of 10 percent. There are keeping the dividend same for this year too.
Company’s every share listed in the year 1989 in Dhaka Bourse closed at Taka 19.20 on Tuesday ad Dhaka Stock Exchange. 540.27 million Of capital has been paid by the company and on the other hand, authorized capital had a total amount of 1.0 billion whilst having the total number of securities of 54.02 million.
The directors of the sponsor own company’s 16.16 percent of the stake whereas the investors listed as institutional own 44.30 percent of the stake and last but not the least, the general average public are owning 39.54 percent of the stake according to the data of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
