Apple Rumored to look at OLED Displays found in 'Some' iPad Models Starting Next Year

Apple plans to adopt OLED display technology found in "some" iPad models subsequent year, following the latest adoption of mini-LED technology found in its highest-end 12.9-inch iPad Pro, in respect to a report from Korea's ETNews.

The report, citing industry sources, claims that Apple will use OLED displays rather than LCDs in a few ‌iPad‌ models starting in 2022. The record doesn't specify which ‌iPad‌ products would make the move from LCD to OLED technology, but credible Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo features reported that the mid-collection iPad Oxygen will be modified with an OLED screen next year at a minimum.

Apple currently uses OLED shows for higher-end iPhones and all Apple Check out models, as the remaining product households continue to employ LCD technology. OLED displays in Apple items are currently given by Samsung and LG, and ETNews believes that both suppliers may also provide OLED displays for future iPads.

Previous month, Apple introduced a brand new 12.9-inch ‌iPad Pro‌ with mini-LED technology, which, in comparison to LCD, offers deeper blacks, improved contrast, and bigger brightness. Apple is likely to continue the adoption of mini-LED screen technology with new types of the MacBook Pro as early as this year.
