Apple has recently put out a new challenge as part of their bug bounty campaign. The company will pay an amount of USD One million to anyone who can 'hack' the iPhone on its latest security update.
The challenge includes executing a special type of attack called a zero-click full chain kernel execution attack. This hack essentially allows the attacker to gain control of the core of the iPhone without requiring any user interaction.
Apple has had such challenges before, but the amount of money involved was a lot lesser. Apple would previously pay USD 200,000 to individuals who would point out bugs.
