Automobile industry found in Indiana slow getting new cars out

You may have heard about the supply chain being interrupted as a result of COVID, or perhaps visited buy something and couldn’t obtain it. That’s because some vital parts, especially for products that want electronics, cannot be produced quickly, and it’s affecting Indiana.
Gerry Dick, with Interior Indiana Business, explained that the automotive industry has been slow in getting new cars out.
“A big portion of that is this shortage of micro chips that make vehicles work nowadays,” said Dick on Tony Katz and the Morning News over WIBC Radio. “The truck plant in Ft. Wayne is actually parking, and has a huge selection of trucks only sitting on a whole lot there. They don’t possess the parts to create them go, essentially.”
Dick said the situation is getting better, nonetheless it will be a while before items are back again to normal, since an important component called the semi conductor has been in short supply.
He said a number of the shortages have not merely slowed manufacturing, but those slow downs have some persons wondering if jobs could be a stake.
