Bangladesh for better trade, investment with Turkey

Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid referred to as Thursday for greater trade and investment with Turkey to explore the potentials of the two countries in various sectors.
“There is enormous scope for exploring the commerce and investment potentials between your two countries, but this is however to reflect reality,” he said.
Hamid produced the remarks while acquiring the credentials of the new ambassador of Turkey to Bangladesh, Mustafa Osman Turan, at his official home, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told state-run media company Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
Hamid described relations between Bangladesh and Turkey as exceptional and historic during his ending up in the new Turkish ambassador.
He said there are several similarities between your two countries when it comes to customs and heritage, according to BSS.
Hamid also expressed gratitude to Turkey because of its support and engagement about the Rohingya crisis.
Bangladesh is currently sheltering over one million Rohingya Muslims in camps in Cox’s Bazar district who were forcibly displaced and faced persecution found in Myanmar by its army.
Turkey is involved in numerous programs helping Rohingya refugees found in Bangladesh as well as at the international level.
Hamid also invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the upcoming D-8 Summit in Dhaka in April.
Turan in the meantime noted that the country always provides priority to bilateral relations with Bangladesh and said he'd take all necessary techniques to further enhance trade and expenditure between the two countries.
