Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen yesterday reported relationships between Bangladesh and the US will reach a fresh height beneath the Joe Biden administration.
"We are very pleased with the Joe Biden administration," said Momen.
He said Bangladesh will not want to see any events that resulted in movements like Dark Lives Matter that occurred in the US some time ago plus the uprooting greater than an individual million Rohingyas from Myanmar.
The foreign minister lamented that while Bangladesh includes a large amount of positive achievements, the media outlets are not portraying the country's positive image, but negative ones.
Bangladesh is forget about a case of bottomless basket, now the united states is a property of opportunities, although mass media will not showcase the country's great sides, the minister said even while addressing the AmCham Frontline Journalism Award ceremony.
He added that systems and innovations have created possibilities in modern journalism.
The American Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bangladesh in collaboration with Masthead PR awarded 25 journalists of print and electronic media for his or her outstanding performance in journalism through the pandemic.
Earl Robert Miller, the US ambassador to Bangladesh, found in the virtual award-offering ceremony highlighted the contribution of journalists if they covered the pandemic media positioning their lives under risk of the deadly virus.
He said some 43 Bangladeshi journalists have died from Covid-19 up to now. It took superb courage and journalistic ideas to place their lives under risk and go to report even during such a pandemic, Miller said.
The journalists give voice to the voiceless, he said, mentioning his country's support to the journalists.
Syed Ershad Ahmed, AmCham president, said the firms remain reeling from the fallout of the pandemic.
It really is great that the journalists came out from their homes and covered the studies defying the fears of virus, he said.
While moderating the event, Syed Mohammad Kamal, AmCham vice-president, said a jury plank selected the best studies from published and aired studies called from journalists of the time between March 1 and August 31 this past year.
