BEPZA helps to implement SDGs
BEPZA is contributing a lot to implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Vision 2021 and the Vision 2041, said principal secretary to the Prime Minister's office Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury.
He said, "It is tremendously contributing in industrialization through attracting investment, export enhancement, product diversification and socio economic development of the country". Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury made the remarks while visiting Adamjee EPZ in Narayanganj on Saturday.
He said the success of BEPZA led the government to establish economic zones in the country. "BEPZA is a unique organization which is a brand in the global business arena," he added. BEPZA Executive Chairman Maj Gen Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan was present and also spoke.
Maj Gen Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan said said BEPZA has been contributing 20 pe3r cent to the total national export and FDI from eight EPZs.
