Brunei imposes int'l travel ban to 4 more countries

The Brunei government on Monday announced the non permanent suspension of entry for foreign nationals from four more South Parts of asia over COVID-19 concerns.

Brunei has before imposed a travel ban on India.

According to a news release from Brunei's Primary Minister's Office (PMO), the momentary suspension on planing a trip to and from India, imposed upon April 27, will be extended until June 13 and will cover four more countries, namely Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The PMO said the suspension pertains to entry travels of most foreign nationals departing from or through any airport in your community aside from diplomatic passport holders and armed forces members. It also pertains to transits through Brunei for all overseas nationals departing from the spot.

In addition, it suspended travels from Brunei to India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh for just about any reason or organization things except diplomatic passport holders and military members.

The PMO said the suspension also applies to foreign nationals who've been granted pre-approvals to enter Brunei from the above five countries via pre-authorized flights, which have therefore been suspended.

Brunei reported no new confirmed circumstance of COVID-19 on Monday, maintaining the national tally in 232.

The united states has recorded 376 times without local COVID-19 infection cases, with seven active cases being treated and monitored at the National Isolation Center, who are in a well balanced condition.

There were three deaths and 222 recovered patients from COVID-19 up to now in Brunei.
