EWU arranges Inter-University Math Olympiad 2019
East West University (EWU) organised the Inter-University Math Olympiad 2019 with the participation of around 250 students of 22 universities and seven schools in the country. The event, held on March 23, 2019 at the EWU campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka. The competition was organised by the university's Science Club. Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson (In-charge) of the Board of Trustee, EWU and Adviser to the former caretaker government of Bangladesh inaugurated the competition.

After the day-long competition, a prize-giving ceremony was also held at the university. Prizes were distributed among the winning students in the competition. Prof. Dr. Fakrul Alam, VC of EWU, Dr. Anindita Pal and Amit Kumar Das, Moderators of EWU Science Club, and other members of the club were present on the occasion.

Kafil Ibna Kamal of University of Dhaka was the winner of the University Section of the competition. The winner of the School Section was Nafim Al Karim of St. Gregory's High School & College.
 
PAU holds seminar observing Independence and National Day
Primeasia University (PAU) organised a seminar on “The Liberation War and the Youth” on the Independence and National Day on March 24, 2019 at the IQAC Conference Hall of its Campus, Banani, Dhaka.
 
AKM Mozammel Huq MP, Minister of Liberation War Affairs attended the seminar as the chief guest. Raihan Azad, Member of BOT, PAU was present as the guest of honour while Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, VC of PAU presided over the programme. Masud A. Khan, Founder and Chairman of Better Bangladesh Foundation (BBF) was the moderator in the program.

Among others, M. Wahidur Rahman, freedom fighter and the former Ambassador of Bangladesh to Egypt; Shafiqur Rahman, Director of Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Prof. Dr. AJM Omar Faroque, Dean, School of Biological Science; Prof. Sk. Md. Hasanuzzaman, Dean, School of Engineering; Heads of different departments; Controller of Examinations; Proctor; Officers and students of various departments took part in the programme.
