Canada Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Sector (CanCham Bangladesh) has said voting for Canada in the Security Council by Bangladesh will accelerate the growing bilateral trade to a fresh height.
The United Nations plans to carry elections in NY on June 17 to fill the rotational seats on the UN Reliability Council for 2021-2022, CanCham said in a media release on Wednesday.
Canada, Ireland and Norway are vying for a good seat.
"Bangladesh is a good friend and ally of Canada. We, as Bangladeshis, have to talk to ourselves which candidate can very best represent our opinions and pursuits in the most crucial physique in the UN system during these challenging occasions," said CanCham.
The bilateral Chamber said Canada includes a proven track record.
