Cashfree Payments to double employee strength in 2022

Payments and API banking solutions company Cashfree Payments (Cashfree) is looking to double its employee strength in 2022.

The organisation aims to cross a headcount of 600 by March this year, and of 950 by December. Last year, it strengthened its workforce to over 475 employees, having digitally onboarded over 300+ new hires. The hiring in 2021 also included leadership roles across engineering, product management, strategy and growth teams.

This year, the hiring as well as the company orientation of over 300+ new hires were completed digitally and across diverse verticals. We plan to further double our workforce by the end of 2022, filling up critical positions to prepare for the next wave of transformation and growth in the organisation," said Sapna Sukumar, vice-president of HR, Cashfree Payments.

Cashfree Payments works closely with all leading banks to build the core payment gateways and banking infrastructure that powers the company’s products and is also integrated with major platforms such as Shopify, Wix, Paypal, Amazon Pay, Paytm and Google Pay. Apart from India, its products are used in eight other countries including the USA, Canada and UAE. The company is backed by Silicon Valley investor Y Combinator, Apis Partners, State Bank of India (SBI) and was incubated by PayPal.
