DBA to strengthen country’s capital market

DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA) President Shakil Rizvi said that the association will work to enhance the premium bourse of the country, while paying a courtesy call to the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Dr M Khairul Hossain, said a press release.

Speaking at the meeting, Shakil said: “BSEC has been working to strengthen Bangladesh’s capital market and this growth will remain continuous. Problems and differences in opinions will arise but solutions can be sought out through discussions. The capital market has now become the center of domestic and foreign investment and gained the trust of potential investors.”  

He welcomed the newly elected Board of Directors of the DBA and said that experience of the old generation and initiation and devotion of the new generation will play a major role in developing the capital market. 

“In the coming days, the goal of the commission will be to take the country’s capital market to an international standard,” Shakil explained, adding that the legal and infrastructure reforms that the current commission has undertaken have transformed the country’s capital market into an economic stronghold. 

“As a result, the country’ capital market has now become a point of interest for domestic and foreign investment, and in future,  investors shall reap its benefits. DBA is the capital market’s biggest stakeholder and it will continue working to better the market stature according to the consultancy of the regulator.”
