This week it has been revealed that there have been orders to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Communication (BTRC) to deactivate the illegally active Sims within this Friday. The individuals who are currently having more than 15 SIMs with one national identity card are going to endure the consequence.
An amount of 2049927 SIMs has been found out to be deactivated. It was stated that within the first six hours of this Friday, the SIMs are going to be deactivated by a senior director of BTRC; Jakir Hossain at UNB this Thursday.
The rule of BTRC states that a maximum amount of 15 SIM cards can be registered using a single national identity card. So, steps are going to be taken as soon as possible.
Assurance of subscriber-friendly performance by the operators is provided by the chairman of BTRC, MdJahurulHaque. On the other hand, this step is going to bring discipline in the telecom sector. Technical difficulties are going to be n=minimized and the operator users can expect better performance from every operator.
For knowing how many SIMs a subscriber can register against his or her National ID Card, they can dial *16001# and type the last four digits of the National ID Card in order to know how many SIMs they still have left to register.
Bizbangladesh dictates that it is a fantastic initiative being taken by BTRC as a person must have limits of registering SIMs, exceeding the limit can cause different issues such as a slowed down the speed of the operators and different types of network hindrances.
