Dhaka to get withdrawal of minimum import prices on its products

Bangladesh will probably demand that Nepal withdraw the minimum amount import prices it features imposed on some Bangladeshi export goods.
The country can make the demand at the two-evening 5th commerce secretary-level getting together with between Bangladesh and Nepal that starts today at the Sonargaon Resort in the administrative centre, Dhaka.

Both parties would once again discuss the issue of tariff and non-tariff barriers to market bilateral trade and business between the two countries.
Nepal would urge Bangladesh to simplify the administrative methods for primary and manufactured goods including yarn, fresh vegetables and fruits, tea, cardamom and herbal products.
Relating to Bangladesh commerce ministry, an eight-member delegation led simply by sector, commerce and supplies ministry secretary Baikuntha Arial of Napal might be a part of the two-day meeting.
Commerce secretary Md Jafar Uddin would business lead Bangladesh delegation.
During the achieving, a memorandum of understanding among Trading Company of Bangladesh and Salt Trading Corporation of Nepal would be signed to assist each other in keeping the market of the essential commodity stable, sources stated.
