Fire at CEPZ garment factory
A fire broke out at a garment factory in Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) on Monday noon. Official of Agrabad Fire Service said the fire erupted from cooking oven at the 3rd floor canteen of KNT Logistic Garment Factory at road no 2 of the EPZ at around 11.30 am.
On information, two fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after one hour frantic efforts, the sources said. No casualty was reported in the incident. The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
