With international travel finally opening up properly, people are starting to consider things like summer holidays and what travel options they want to make this year. However, currently, things aren’t as smooth as you might imagine with staff shortages causing long delays at airports and flights being cancelled daily. Currently, EasyJet is cancelling around 60 flights a day to and from the UK, which is putting a massive dent in many people's travel plans this Easter.

Flying internationally
When it comes to flying abroad many people assume that flying with the likes of EasyJet is the most cost-effective option. In many cases, this is true, with plenty of cheap flights released each day. In fact, there is currently a trend on TikTok where influencers show their day jetting off to somewhere in Europe for the day thanks to really affordable flights.

However, if you are going to fly with a budget airline then it is important that you shop online to ensure that you get the best possible price – for example, you may find that flying at different times of the day or on different days of the week affects the price so looking into this and working out what is best for you is the best way to ensure you pay the price you want. However, don’t just assume that flying a charter flight this way is the only affordable travel option this year.

Flying privately
Most people dismiss the idea of flying privately because they assume that the cost is going to be something above their budget. For example, you can look up things called ‘empty leg’ flights – which are flights that need to fly to or from a destination empty. As they are flying empty you can often pick up the opportunity to fly on the same flight for a fraction of the cost it would usually be. If there are a few of you flying then this can actually work out a really cost-effective way to fly and of course, means you don’t have to worry about someone like EasyJet cancelling your flight.

Keeping everyone happy while you travel
Whether you’re flying privately or on a budget airline scheduled flight, one thing you are going to want to do is make sure you do everything you can to keep everyone happy – especially if you are travelling with very young children. There are two essentials that you must take with you on any long travel trip – snacks and entertainment.

The good news is that when it comes to games to take with you while travelling there are lots of options that will keep one amused and won’t take up too much space in your luggage. For example, you could take a deck of cards learn some basic Blackjack strategy techniques – needless to say but card games don’t generally need lots of space to play them, so they’re perfect for flights and other travel choices.
