Greater emphasis ought to be given on complex education, science and technology: Bangladesh PM

Bangladesh Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina has needed greater focus on science and technology, and specialized education to ensure employment opportunities for the people in keeping with the requirements of the modern age.
Hasina said this even though speaking at the inaugural event for the distribution of stipends, tuition fees, admission assistance and financial grants among poor and meritorious pupils under the Primary Minister's Education Assistance Trust via video meeting on Sunday, bdnews24 reported.
She said the government is establishing various universities in the united states with the purpose of providing the required tools to achieve the modern workplace.
"We have set up the Maritime University, the Civil Aviation and Aerospace University. Basically, we are considering the topics and the sort of education that's very important in different elements of Bangladesh and placing universities consequently. We are carrying out this in order that everyone can get a proper education."
Education in science and technology alongside technical training is vital as it enhances job prospects, in line with the Awami League chief.
"It's relevant both in the home and abroad. And it's necessary in our country in light of the 100 economic zones that people are creating. You will have domestic and foreign investment. It will take a lot of folks with technical skills there. Therefore, you want to create an experienced workforce."
"If we create skilled manpower, they'll be able to produce an enormous contribution to our financial development. Accordingly, we are taking different measures to that end."
The Primary Minister also highlighted the steps taken by her father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to modernise and develop the training system of the country while outlining the various initiatives taken in this respect by her Awami League government.
