India assures Bangladesh for barrier-free trade

Minister of Railways, Commerce & Industry, Client Affairs and Food & Public Distribution Piyush Goyal assured Bangladesh complete cooperation from India's side found in ensuring barrier-free trade between your two countries on Tuesday.

While addressing India-Bangladesh Digital Conference on Agriculture Sector, he said that people have offered duty-free marketplace access to Bangladesh in lots of products, including, agri-exports. The minister said that alongside one another we are able to aspire for an improved & brighter long term for people of both countries, specifically for the farmers of both countries to reap the benefits of economic prosperity.

The minister said that India & Bangladesh share an extremely warm & cordial relationship, predicated on mutual trust & friendship which goes beyond the arithmetic of monetary gains & losses. He explained that this partnership sticks out as a job model in your community, for good neighbourly relations.

The Minister appreciated the intention of the federal government of Bangladesh to search for methods to increase & improve the prosperity of their farmers. He assured full cooperation in this respect. He mentioned the steps considered by India to greatly help our farmers, including transport, Irrigation, Institutional credit, Advertising facilities, Supply of top quality inputs like seeds, neem covering fertilisers & machinery & development of associated cottage industries.

He said “We've used an extremely holistic approach to improve the productivity & productivity of farmers & recreate attractiveness to agriculture sector. In the years ahead, in the post-Pandemic environment as India as well expands its intercontinental engagement in conjunction with our efforts to make India extra self-reliant, we consider we are able to boost the incomes of our farmers & help them prosper.”

The Minister said that in view of the recent advancements, the non-tariff barriers will play an essential role in deciding how Bangladesh utilises the abundant opportunities India provides.

Referring to other areas of bilateral cooperation, He said that the most significant number of tractors found in Bangladesh result from India. “On meals processing, we can work with each, study from the other person & expand our existence in the global marketplace in partnership with one another. We share an extremely strong romantic relationship in the Railways sector which is normally our bridge to increased engagement in infrastructure creation.”
