Smart energy technology company SolarEdge Technologies has announced its SolarEdge Home during the Intersolar 2022 fair in Munich this week (11th to 13th May), being an innovative home energy management solution that allows property owners to optimise the production, use and storage of solar energy.
The solution, designed for single and three-phase applications, consists of SolarEdge Home inverters, a home battery, a backup interface, smart energy devices such as the SolarEdge EV Charger, hot water controller and smart meters, and an operating system that synchronises and manages the devices. Developed to extract more energy from the sun, the DC-coupled solution optimises energy consumption by supplying loads directly with solar energy, storing energy and providing real-time recommendations that meet changing energy needs. The SolarEdge Home operating system bases load and schedule recommendations based on the home owner's energy patterns and preferences. This system extends runtime and reduces reliance on the utility grid, and is managed through a single mySolarEdge app, which enables homeowners to intelligently manage and track home solar energy consumption, energy savings and reduced carbon footprint.
For installers, the SolarEdge Home portfolio is designed to simplify installation from design to commissioning and reduce installation time through plug-and-play wireless connectivity.
“We have developed a complete system that enables both collecting more energy from the sun and energy independence for homeowners” said SolarEdge CEO Zivi Lando. “We believe that intelligent energy management is becoming increasingly important as electricity costs and consumption are constantly growing. Innovative solutions that can combine multiple energy sources, loads and batteries are the key to future energy independence and sustainable living.”
