British HC alerts public about work visa scams targeting Bangladesh nationals

The British Superior Commission in Dhaka has urged all to stay alert about work visa scams targeting Bangladesh nationals as it noticed a rise in online employment scams.
The high commission came up with the decision in a statement issued on Thursday.
“The British Large Commission, Dhaka is seeing a rise in online employment scams targeting Bangladesh nationals. Persons fall victim to these scams when they receive false presents of employment in the UK from websites and e-mail addresses for careers that usually do not exist,” the great commission said.
“The scammers provide the victims with multiple false records, including some they claim are issued by the house Office of Britain and additional UK federal government departments, which is untrue. They ask the victims to create payments to secure their ‘job permit’ and ‘visa application’, but these details is false,” it added.
The large commission also said that fraudsters may advertise overseas employment through different job websites or contact potential victims directly.
It also mentioned some tactics, usually completed by the fraudsters, including setting up fictitious job offers using information on UK businesses who are not actually offering any job and using fictitious telephone numbers, labels of officials and email addresses that may appear official but are not.
Pointing out that the fraudsters could also ask for a registration fee to secure a job permit and UK visa, the high commission said there is absolutely no such thing as an ‘employee registration fee’ with regards to UK visas.
It reminded most that, visa aspirants should not be asked to deposit any repayment prior to making a visa application.
“The right entry clearance application process can be found at gov.uk internet site,” the high commission said.
The British authorities won't ask any visa aspirants to send your individual documents - like certificates, bank highlights, professional highlights - to anyone claiming to be from the Home Office or UK Visas and Immigration.
It said a genuine company would direct you to the official GOV.UK website, where you make an official visa application.
The large commission urged all to see nearest neighborhood police station if indeed they receive any suspicious emails or other communication from someone claiming to be from the British OFFICE AT HOME and requesting personal information.
