Coronavirus Forces Bangladesh Denim Expo to Cancel April Event

Bangladesh Denim Expo is the most up-to-date denim industry event cancelling above COVID-19 concerns.
This week on its Facebook page, the trade show announced the cancellation of its April 6-7 event in Dhaka. The trade express was expected to get 100 domestic and intercontinental vendors. Additionally, the Bangladesh Fashion Summit was to occur alongside the trade display.
“Given the severe nature of concerns about the virus globally and our desire to protect the well-being of our personnel, tourists and exhibitors [it is] with the deepest regret, that people will be postponing the forthcoming 12th edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo, scheduled for the 6th and 7th of April,” the trade demonstrate wrote on Facebook.
New dates for the expo will be announced soon.
Health issues and travel restrictions from the coronavirus outbreak have forced several denim occurrences to be cancelled.
On Monday, Kingpins announced it would draw the plug on its Amsterdam event April 22-23. In addition, it canceled its Hong Kong express previously scheduled for May.
Denimandjeans cancelled it has the first-ever event in Japan, which was to occur in Tokyo’s Sunshine Metropolis on March 4-5.
Denim brands are feeling the consequences of the virus, too. This week, Levi’s cancelled the New York Metropolis press preview because of its Fall/Winter 20-21 collection, with plans to reschedule the event in May.
