EPZs start tree plantation in memory of martyrs

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) has initiated greenery activities in the EPZs through tree plantation as previous years to create eco-friendly and green industrial enclave.

The program started yesterday simultaneously in the eight EPZs under BEPZA in response to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's call and as part of three million saplings plantation program to pay tributes to three million martyrs of the Liberation War.

BEPZA Executive Office and EPZs will plant about 21 thousand varieties of sapling including woody, fruity and medicinal under the Tree Plantation Program-2018. Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, Executive Chairman of BEPZA, inaugurated the program by planting a sapling at BEPZA executive office in Dhaka.

General Managers of Chittagong, Dhaka, Karnaphuli, Adamjee, Comilla, Uttara, Mongla and Ishwardi EPZ under BEPZA located in different parts of the country simultaneously took part in the program by planting different saplings in their own Zone. 

Among others, Zillur Rahman, NDC, Member (Investment Promotion), Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Engineering), Mizanur Rahman, Member (Finance), General Managers of each departments including high officials of BEPZA were present during the program at the executive office.
