Initiative to build battery powered cars in the country

Eco-friendly lithium-ion battery powered two wheeler, three wheeler and four wheeler (Sedan, Jeep, Mini truck and Microbus) cars will be built in the country.For this reason, a company called Bangladesh Auto Industry Limited will make a factory on 100 acres of land in MirsaraiUpzila of Chittagong. This will be a joint venture.
Meeting with Kazi Md. Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) on Sunday, a delegation from Bangladesh Auto Industry Limitedsaid this. At that time Kazi Md. Aminul Islam assured them of all kinds of cooperation.
Mir Masud Kabir, Managing Director of Bangladesh Auto Industry hopes that these vehicles will be available in the market from March-April next year. BIDA told this in a press release.
